Abstract

S-shaped Microstrip Patch antenna (MPA) is designed for L1 (1.17 GHz) and S (2.16 GHz and 2.68 GHz) frequency bands. Transmission-line model and feed line techniques are used for analysis of S-Shaped MPA. The present research is aimed at designing S-Shaped MPA for IRNSS/ NavIC and RADAR applications. The proposed antenna design FR4 substrate is used with dielectric constant 4.4 has thickness 1.6 mm. The results of designing of MPA are checked by using HFSS software.  The Antenna parameters observed are return loss or S-parameters, smith chart, VSWR etc. The antenna is smaller in size, having low profile, low cost and is easy to fabrication.
