Abstract

The use of computer networks to enhance organizational performance, boost profitability, increase market share, and other goals is known as electronic commerce enhancing client service and providing prompt service. This study aims to investigate the current state of e-commerce in India. Additionally, it examines the potential and difficulties of e-commerce in India from the viewpoint of the world economy. To ascertain the goals of this study, a meta-analysis is utilized. The secondary materials have been heavily utilized in the article. It shows that although India's e-commerce is growing at an acceptable rate, it is still slower than that of China and the USA. The article identifies similar opportunities, such as the fact that India has embraced contemporary ICTs, 4G technology, internet availability, and a large number of local e-commerce enterprises. However, it still has to deal with issues including inadequate telecom infrastructure, lax legal prohibitions, a negative attitude toward technology, and inadequate e-commerce-related school curricula. According to the paper, appropriate action should be made by public and commercial organizations to adopt ICT-based academic curriculum, modernize legal frameworks, build ICT infrastructure, and raise public awareness in order to execute e-commerce for sustainable economic growth in an efficient manner
