Abstract

Damping off disease of Tomato seedlings caused by several different fungi and fungus-like organisms. Pythiumaphanidermatum (Edson) Fitz.is one of them fungus causing damping off disease in tomato (Lycopersiconesculentum Mill.). This fungi occur in all soils of Ayodhya, Devipatan and Basti division where tomatoes are grown and they infect tomatoes when the soil wet. The infection is most common also been observed is mild under warmer conditions of the weather. Present communication is a attempt to discuss symptoms morphologic characters and pathogenicity of damping-off disease of tomato seedlings
